FAQs
Common questions we get asked about our custom parkas.
How do I choose the right size?
Each Arctic Luxe parka includes a detailed size chart (S–4XL) with measurements and a line drawing to help you compare. Our parkas are designed with a slightly roomier fit to allow for weight changes, winter layering, and free movement. Use the chart as your guide and select the size that feels most comfortable for your lifestyle.
What lining options do you offer?
Arctic Luxe offers two lining weights so your parka fits the climate you live in:
6oz lining: A lighter winter coat, best for milder regions in the Lower 48 where temperatures stay above 0°F.
8oz lining: A heavier winter coat, crafted for deep cold and Alaskan winters, able to handle −40°F to −50°F.
The choice of lining reflects the same principle Native Alaskans have always relied on—making garments suited to the land and the season. It’s a modern material serving the same purpose: keeping you safe, warm, and prepared.
Can I customize the style, color, or fur trim of my parka?
Yes. Each Arctic Luxe parka is made to order, and you can choose your preferred color, cuff fur, ruff fur, and lining directly on the product page. These options are designed to give you flexibility while keeping the ordering process simple.
If you’re looking for something outside the listed choices, limited custom requests may be available and could involve an added fee. In that case, reach out through the Contact page before ordering.
Do I have to pay in full, or are payment plans available?
Paying in full is always preferred and helps Bobby continue creating each parka with care. If you need flexibility, Arctic Luxe also offers payment plans through trusted installment partners.
With installments, your order is placed right away and your parka is built to order, even as you make scheduled payments (pending approval). Either way, you’ll receive a handcrafted parka made to keep you warm, confident, and connected to tradition for years to come.
How long will it take to receive my parka?
Each Arctic Luxe parka is handmade to order. Production typically takes 6–8 weeks, with shipping time depending on your location. You’ll receive updates once your parka is in progress and when it’s ready to ship.
What if my parka needs adjustments, or I want a different fit?
Every parka is handmade, and Bobby can tailor the fit to be looser or more fitted during the design process. If adjustments are needed later, small changes may be possible, though the cost of shipping and the adjustment service is covered by the customer.
For any adjustment requests, please use the Contact page on the Arctic Luxe website. This keeps communication clear and ensures your request is handled quickly.
How do I care for my parka?
Our Arctic Luxe parkas are built to last for years, even generations, with the right care:
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight.
Use a breathable garment bag (not plastic) to protect from dust.
Shake off snow or moisture and let it air dry naturally—never with direct heat.
Hang on a broad, sturdy hanger to keep the shoulders in shape.
Avoid chemicals, perfumes, and sprays around the fur.
These steps will protect your investment and honor the care that went into making your parka.
Are these parkas authentic Native Alaskan designs?
Yes. Each parka is handmade by Bobby Brower, an Iñupiaq artist, using designs and traditions rooted in Native Alaskan heritage. While adapted for modern wear, every piece carries forward cultural knowledge, respect for the land, and the artistry passed down through generations.
